Members of the Uganda Association of Public Administration Management (UAPAM)
May is fast turning out to be a month of accolades for the Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana.
First it was the Labor Day Distinguished Order of the Nile - Class One award and then, he was elected Vice President of the Uganda Association of Public Administration Management (UAPAM).
UAPAM is an affiliate of African Association of Public Administration and Management. This is a premier international professional organization that promotes best practices and excellence in public administration and management in Africa through research, publications, training, seminars, consultancy, conferences and awards.
Dr Bigirimana who will serve in that capacity for the next three years, now deputizes the Head of Public Service, Ms Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye.
When asked about the election, Dr Bigirimana said it was a good surprise. "I have been honored with that responsibility of helping the Head of Public Service to revamp and revitalize the Association of public administrators."
UAPAM has an Executive Committee of 15 members.
